Day in the Life as an Activity Director:

• Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, to understand the unique needs and preferences of residents.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with various departments to ensure seamless integration of activities into the overall care plan
• Developing an Activities Program, that caters to the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents.
• Purchasing or Leasing Supplies for planned activities, managing budgetary considerations, seek cost-effective solutions while maintaining the quality of supplies.
• Provide ongoing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities for the Activities Assistants.
• Lead by example by actively participating in various activities to encourage resident engagement and create a positive atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a long-term care or healthcare setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt activities to accommodate varying physical and cognitive abilities.
