About the Role

The Maintenance Superintendent provides on-site administrative and technical management for Electrical and Mechanical operations. This is a Hands On Role.

Responsibilities

• Utilize working knowledge of electrical systems, including control and industrial wiring, pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, shop machinery, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, and instrumentation to maintain plant equipment at optimal levels.
• Prepare all documentation required for site access, laydown, and other logistics for contractors and vendors.
• Organize, coordinate, and supervise the work of in-house crafts and subcontractors on construction and maintenance projects.
• Provide direct oversight and development of Maintenance Tooling Leaders and their teams, including Maintenance Technicians and Tool Die Makers.
• Support safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvement initiatives.
• Drive preventative maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) functions and optimization.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies throughout areas of responsibility.
• Assist in the professional development of the Manufacturing Services Organization.
• Execute the site's reliability strategy in partnership with technical maintenance leadership.
• Develop and implement cost-effective plans for preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Work extended hours, including nights and weekends, in support of process operations.
• Collaborate with other factory and department managers to ensure department performance expectations are met, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes.
• Review and approve purchases related to the maintenance budget.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related field or years of experience. 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance. At least 5 years of progressively senior-level experience in a mill maintenance environment.

Preferred Skills Pay range and compensation package

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
