Water Resources Project Manager

A client is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to lead and manage a variety of stormwater, wastewater, and water distribution system projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing firm that recently became an employee-owned company (ESOP), offering new team members the chance to be part of something from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage stormwater collection, wastewater collection, and water distribution system facilities.
  • Oversee projects from start to finish, including proposals, schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
  • Manage multiple projects while balancing scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and local government officials, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with managers and project engineers to develop effective water resources solutions.
  • Assist on water resources aspects of multidisciplinary projects.
  • Prepare grant applications and facility plans, coordinating with private and public stakeholders to secure project funding, especially for small and medium-sized systems.
Desired Skills:
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with HECRAS, HECHMS, PondPak, HY-8, Microstation
  • Familiarity with GeoPAK Drainage, XPSWMM, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, and WaterCAD
  • Experience with Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from a four-year college or university
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Professional Engineer, licensed in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, or Missouri, with design experience focused on water resources
  • Knowledge of preparation and review of engineering plans and specifications to ensure all aspects of project implementation are clearly conveyed
  • Experience with hydrologic, hydraulic, and water resources-related projects
  • Experienced in working with both governmental and private clients in Missouri, Kentucky, and Illinois
