When you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, you'll take on key store management responsibilities including supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans while identifying training opportunities to develop and grow the team.

Position Details

  • Type: Full-Time
  • Hours: 38 hours/week
  • Starting Wage: $24.50/hour
  • Wage Increase: Year 2 - $25.50/hour

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve results
  • Set and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations
  • Identify training opportunities for team development
  • Communicate and model company values to foster teamwork
  • Monitor community environment and advise on necessary adjustments
  • Provide product feedback and make recommendations
  • Participate in hiring processes
  • Communicate team updates and milestones
  • Ensure adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash policies
  • Resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader
  • Identify hazards and ensure store safety and equipment maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness and signage standards
  • Assist in stock management and product merchandising
  • Support payroll, inventory, and training activities
  • Supervise daily team operations and escalate issues as needed
  • Ensure team completes responsibilities effectively to deliver excellent customer service
  • Uphold company policies and data security

Physical Demands

  • Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform store duties
  • Stand, sit, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk regularly

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Customer service and leadership skills
  • Ability to interpret policies and manage performance
  • Experience with budgeting and operating equipment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • State and local alcohol handling requirements

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years retail experience, management preferred
