SUMMARY: THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHEDULING COMPLIANCE, PLANNING COMPLIANCES, MAINTAINING A PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH OPERATING AND MAINENANCE PARTNERS, AND TIMELY DISTRIBUTION OF REPORTS AND METRICS. PRINCIPAL CONTACT AND LIAISON BETWEEN MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT AND ALL ASSOCATED ANCILLARY DEPARTMENTS PLANTWIDE. IE. USDA, FOOD SAFETY, OPERATIONS, SANITATION AND VARIOUS VENDORS.REVIEW WORK REQUEST FROM ALL AREAS OF THE PLANT TO DETERMINE VALIDITY AND ACCURACY OF INFORMATION, ENGAGE WITH THE MAINTENANCE UPPER MANAGEMENT ASSIGNED TO THOSE SPECIFIC AREAS TO SET A PRELIMINARY PRIORITY.INDENTIFIES WORK ORDERS THAT MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING DESIGN AND REVIEWS WITH THE ENGINEERING TEAM AT THE WEEKLY PLANNING MEETINGS DEPENDING ON THE IMPORTANCE OF WORK REQUESTED.ESCALATES WORK OPPORTUNITIES THAT ARE SEEN WHILE WALKING WITH PRE-OP/USDA EACH DAY THAT COULD INTERRUPT PRODUCTION.DATA ENTRIES INTO THE MAINTENANCE SOFTWARE SYSTEM-SPARE PARTS, DWGS, MAINTENANCE MANUALS.OBTAIN AND ORGANIZE ALL INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR THE CRAFTS TO PERFORM THE WORK: DWGS, VENDOR MANUALS, SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS OR OTHER INFORMATION WHICH IS APPROPRIATE FOR THE WORK. THIS WILL ENSURE THE WORK ASSIGNED WILL BE CLARIFIED.IDENTIFY AND SECURE ALL PARTS AND MATERIAL REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE JOB THROUGH THE STORES SYSTEM. PROVIDE A BILL OF MATERIALS (IF POSSIBLE) TO THE WORK ORDER ASSIGNED.WORK CLOSELY AND PROFESSIONALLY WITH THE STORES MANAGER TO MANAGE SPARE PARTS USAGE AND ENSURE PARTS ARE USED TO THE SPECIFIC JOB. THE GENERAL MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR WILL ASSIST WITH THIS AS WELL.RECEIVE ON ALL OUTSIDE CONTRACTOR LABOR THAT HAS BEEN AWARDED. ENSURE THAT THE SCOPE IS UNDERSTOOD, FOLLOW UP ON THE WORK THAT WAS COMPLETED, DOCUMENT ANY DEFICIENCIES TO UPPER MANAGEMENT (IF ANY) BEFORE SIGNING OFF AND SENDING BACK TO A/P.TRACK MAINTENANCE DOWNTIME FROM OPERATIONAL REPORTS SO A TRENDING MECHANISM IS PUT IN PLACE AND POSTED FOR ALL TO SEE IN THE MSO AREA.FOLLOW UP WITH SUPERVISORS AND LEADS TO ENSURE THAT COMPLETED WORK ASSIGNMENTS ARE TURNED IN WITH IMPROVEMENT COMMENTS IN A TIMELY FASHION.KEEP ACCURATE METRICS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF PLANNING AND SCHEDULING FUNCTIONS AND PROVIDE TIMELY REPORTS TO THE PLANT ENGINEER/MAINTEANCE SUPERINTENDENTS.REMAIN PROFESSIONAL AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE PLANT.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. MUST BE ABLE TO DEMSONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO BE APPROACHABLE AND TACTFULMATHEMATICAL SKILLS: ABILITY TO APPLY MATHEMATICAL APPLICATIONS TO PRACTICAL SITUATIONS. REASONING ABILITY: ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE EQUUIPMENT PROBLEMS BEFORE THEY CAUSE ACTUAL MACHINE DOWN TIME.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: HAVE ADEQUATE CRAFT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL TO ACCURATELY ESTIMATE LABOR HOURS, MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO EXECUTE THE JOB ASSIGNMENTS. GOOD COMPUTER SKILLS. DEMONSTRATED ORGANIZATIONAL AND PLANNING SKILLSKNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE MAINTENANCE PROCESSES AND PROPER USE OF THE WORK ORDER PROGRAM AND STORES ACCESSABILITY.MUST HAVE A REPUTATION WHICH IS RESPECTED BY PRODUCTION, MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT, STORE PERSONNEL AND ALL OTHER SUPPORT GROUPS ASSOCIATED WITH PLANT PRODUCTION.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move place to place. Incumbent is required to travel to remote parts of the facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee often works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, with very loud conditions present when working in certain production area.NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Generally nine (9) or more Hours/Day as scheduled by management. Normally Monday - Friday as scheduled by management and weekends if needed by operations and approved by management.
