What You'll Do:
Oversee off-loading, placement, and mechanical/electrical assembly of heat treating equipment at customer sites
Perform hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, combustion, and piping systems
Verify system functionality per technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards
Support initial equipment operation, provide on-site training to customer personnel
Document field changes, system updates, and complete technical reports
Interface with customers and contractors to resolve installation issues
Travel up to 90-95% of the time (typically 2-week assignments, with weekends home)
What You Bring:
Military experience in technical roles (mechanical, electrical, avionics, engineering, maintenance, etc.)
Strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with tools, system schematics, and diagnostics
Working knowledge of electrical systems, controls, or PLCs
Welding experience a plus
Experience with conveyors, piping systems, or industrial machinery highly desirable
Able to work independently or on a team and communicate effectively under pressure
Willingness to travel extensively (domestic and international)
Note to Veterans: Even if you don't have direct furnace experience, your mechanical and systems background makes you a strong candidate.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base pay: $85,000-$95,000
Significant overtime pay (1.5x over 40 hrs/week, 2x Sundays) - Most Field Techs exceed $100,000/year
Profit-sharing bonus (avg. 2-5% annually, company performance based)
