Role Overview

Corporate Counsel - Remote within greater Tampa, FL area!

This role is a full-time, permanent position with remote work options within the greater Tampa, FL area. The ideal candidate is a corporate generalist with a strong background in contracts, policies and procedures, leases, lease review, and lease renewal.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, customer contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and more.
• Providing legal advice and support on corporate matters, including corporate governance, compliance, and risk management.
• Reviewing, drafting, and updating company policies and procedures to align with current laws and regulations.
• Handling all aspects of commercial leasing, including lease review, renewal, and negotiations.
• Providing legal support for various business units (sales, finance, human resources).
• Collaborating with outside counsel as needed on specific legal matters.
• Staying up-to-date with changes in corporate law and advising the company on potential impacts.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Current member in good standing with any state Bar.
• 35 years of experience in a corporate law environment; in-house and/or law firm experience preferred.
• Strong experience with contracts, policies and procedures, leases, lease review, and lease renewal.
• Excellent understanding of corporate law and governance principles.
• Proven experience as a corporate generalist with strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
