Job Details

This position provides therapy treatments to patients according to doctors'prescriptions for treatment. This position performs simulations prior to treatments to assist with treatment planning. This position works under the supervision of the Clinic Manager and the department Radiation Physicist and is employed by Mosaic Health System. Duties Delivers and schedules daily radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. Verifies treatment fields and patient positions by taking daily imaging utilizing various media. Performs weekly treatment charts checks to verify treatment doses, cumulative doses, and radiation doses to body structures. Arranges for transportation if in-patients to the department and via van or ambulance. Observes patients on a daily basis for possible radiation therapy induced side effects and alerts nurses or radiation oncologists.
