The Telemedicine Clinical Facilitator utilizes nursing process (as defined by the American Nurses Association) and knowledge of nursing scientific principles to provide comprehensive, age appropriate nursing care for assigned patients while remotely collaborating with provider(s) and assisting with patient assessments via telemedicine technology. This position meets the health, telemedicine and research education needs of patients/families. The incumbent evaluates telemedicine workflow processes, research methodologies, and trains additional facilitators for the safe and efficient use of telemedicine technology in an evidence-based approach. The Telemedicine Clinical Facilitator is responsible for expert operation and recommended care of all telemedicine equipment required for patient encounters.
