Join Our Team as an Order Control Technician!

Order Control Tech's are team players who process electronic building orders, parts orders, and engineering revisions. The main function of the team is to take orders completed by engineering and ensure the complete and properly annotated order is ready and available for manufacturing to produce. The process is accomplished using in-house developed software, programs from Oracle, and Microsoft Office products. The process may include revising data to meet engineering needs, verifying that all required drawings are accounted for, and facilitating the successful transfer of all order data from the engineering system to the manufacturing system. Order Control Technicians pride themselves on making sure every detail is correct, every piece is accounted for, and knowing that manufacturing can rest assured that orders they receive are complete and ready for production.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare work order schedule throughout the day using an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Process orders using Project and Compass Interface Managers (data transfer software) to transfer data into the Compass ERP system, and officially submit the order for manufacturing and other processes by "booking" the order.
  • Schedule and process engineered parts orders and book for PC/IC (Production Control) to evaluate and act upon.
  • Assist engineering in repairing incorrect parts after order completion, but before the order is booked. Done through Project Interface Manager (data transfer software)
  • Process all Engineering Revision Notices (ERNs) for orders processed by Order Control.
  • Submit and answer emails for questions and updates pertaining to all the above.
  • Train team members and cross-train with others when needed.
Education & Experience Qualifications

Minimum:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic Pre-Engineered building knowledge
  • Must be proficient in:
    • Microsoft Outlook (for sending and receiving emails)
    • Microsoft Excel (for schedules and order processing)
