Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have computer knowledge, ability to type accurately 50-60 words per minute, maintain files, prepare various reports, ability to operate computer and other general office equipment. Work knowledge of Microsoft Office. Previous successful experience with customer service.
Preferred: Experience with Federal programs of MOSIS

FLSA: Non-Exempt
Salary Schedule: Per Approved Support Staff Salary Schedule - Range 5
Direct Report: Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations
Terms of Employment: 12 Month
Eligible for emergency telework: With Supervisor approval

Purpose: The Federal Programs Administrative Assistant ensures timely compliance with Federal Programs. This position will also require the ability to communicate with varied stakeholders effectively.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
  • To "telework" when requested by the District.
  • Enter budgets in Epegs, DESE's database on all ESSA.
  • Enter payment requests for reimbursement of funds.
  • Tracking expenses, payroll reports.
  • Entering purchase orders in E-Finance and trip requests.
  • Hold non-public meetings in the fall and spring for ESOL, Title II and SPED.
  • Responsible for meeting DESE compliance.
  • Responsible for collecting schedules, and Core Data information for the District.
  • Responsible for collecting monthly Time & Effort worksheets and Single Funding worksheets for Title I A, Title II A, Title ID.
  • Keep track of bank visa records for Early Childhood.
  • Answering calls from staff, parents and community organizations.
  • Provide assistance and support to Directors' of Elementary and Secondary Education, Coordinator of Federal Programs and Assistant Superintendent.
  • Other assigned duties.
