Job Summary:

The Porter function is to use his/her strengths to maintain a professional appearance of the body shop department and assist in the flow of maintaining an efficient shop.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Model and uphold Anderson Auto Group's Core Values.
• Serve as a positive role model and/ or teammate.
• Greets customers and ascertain what each customer wants and/ or needs.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles when necessary.
• Assist with inspecting customer vehicles for any prior damage and record.
• Assist in ensuring the shop is clean while keeping safety top of mind including sweeping and disposing of trash. Taking trash from shop to dumpster.
• Pick up vehicles and deliver to customers when necessary.
• Assist courtesy shuttle when needed.
• Keep the tire rack full at all times.
• Maintain supply levels, hang tags, plastic seat covers, steering wheel covers, paper floor mats, rings and cleaners.
• Recycle or dispose of properly- scrap metal, scrap batteries, cardboard boxes and scrap tires.
• Maintain current training on safety for role.
• Maintain certification and training for necessary programs.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Some mechanical knowledge would be preferred.
• Valid driver's license

Key Measurables:

• Keeping the body shop department clean and presentable

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Some mechanical knowledge preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to be on your feet at least 90% of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to learn to install truck bed liner
