Paradise Locker Meats (PLM) is seeking a PART-TIME employee to fill our LABORER position. Working 10-15 hours per week, possibly including rotating Saturdays to assist in sanitation.

Main Duties:

Assist the Production department by making boxes and keeping the box making area clean. Assist retail in various tasks. Assist sanitation department with weekly cleanings.

1. Know PLM mission, products, and most importantly core values
2. Assemble boxes daily for production departments
3. Assist retail in executing customer pickups from freezer – and carry out – heavy lifting
4. Assist Sanitation department with weekly janitorial cleaning of various areas
5. Assist retail in retrieving and putting away weekly orders from wholesale, stocking store, and keeping up retail store front
6. Assist in shipping as needed
7. Assist in special projects as requested

Skills and Experience Needed for Success:

• Self-starter and motivator
• Ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis throughout the work day
• Good communication skills
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail

On a daily basis livestock is processed, cut, packaged and shipped via truck and via FedEx. The day-to-day operations at PLM can be challenging and difficult as PLM customers include the most demanding and celebrated chefs. When the Friday truck leaves, everything must be perfect and accounted for. A drug test is required.
