Senior Software Architect

Description:

Hybrid Work Schedule (3 days onsite) | Direct Hire - Full Time

Oxford Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Architect for a hands-on role supporting a broad suite of backend and cloud-based applications. This position is roughly 50% coding and 50% architecture, working across 15+ products. We're looking for someone with a strong technical presence, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative personality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and backend development using .NET and SQL
  • Design scalable application frameworks and contribute to coding, reviews, and solution planning
  • Partner with leadership on technical direction, cloud strategy, and AI-driven enhancements
  • Collaborate with fellow architects to maintain consistency across products
  • Mentor developers, guide re-platforming efforts, and support greenfield design
  • Build proofs of concept, assist with estimates, and evaluate emerging tools
  • Promote secure coding, best practices, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of architecture experience
  • Expert-level skills in .NET and SQL
  • Strong backend development experience with multi-threading, concurrency, and modern architectural patterns
  • Experience with cloud applications and AI features
  • Microsoft tech stack experience (C#, .NET Core/Framework, WPF, MVVM, Entity Framework, SQL Server)
  • Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, React, mobile frameworks, or REST APIs is a plus
  • Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, SOLID principles, DI/IOC, ORM, and unit testing
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL) and Git/TFS/SVN
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
