Description:

St. Gianna Early Childhood Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Aide to join our team. Our center provides care for children 6 weeks - 5 years old. Our early childhood care program serves students from 6:00 am - 6:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday, year round. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Early Childhood Aide, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of our students. Your creativity and enthusiasm will help shape the educational experiences of our preschoolers.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Supervise and engage in learning activities with our students under the direction of the lead teacher.
  • Assist in preparation of materials and directing activities.
  • Assists in food preparation, serving meals and/or refreshments and cleaning.
  • Assist in care for students' individual needs and maintain discipline.
  • Assist classroom activities effectively, ensuring all children are engaged and participating.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
  • Assist in classroom organization and cleanliness to provide a conducive learning environment.
  • Instill a love for Christ, and weave Catholic teachings into daily activities.
  • Knowledge and ability to change diapers and help with potty training.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all children, including those with special education needs.
  • Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
