Job Title: Communication/Development Project Manager
Summary:
- Designation: Part Time (non-exempt)
- Hours: 25 hours per week
- Schedule: Flexible Work Schedule (Some regularly scheduled meetings/Mostly asynchronous)
- Location: Remote or Hybrid (Office location: Anderson, IN)
- Reports to: CEO
The Communication and Development Manager will ensure that all Communication and Development Project efforts are synced and executed effectively to ensure clear external communication, and maximum impact in donor engagement and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage a cohesive Communication Plan that effectively engages donors and drives the development efforts of Horizon International.
- Own the communication strategy and philosophy for Horizon.
- Curate and develop stories that tell the story of what God has done and is doing through Horizon.
- Act as administrator of the Horizon social media channels.
- Ownership of the website and liaison with vendors.
- Build and lead a team of volunteers that support the communication efforts to multiply reach and impact.
- Project manage all communication and donor development projects to ensure: 1. All plans and efforts are synced, 2. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned, 3. Ensure tasks and projects are completed and moving forward.
- Schedule and lead important meetings around projects with all appropriate stakeholders.
- Assist the CEO as needed with projects that will increase donor development and/or advancement of the mission.
- 1+ years of experience in communication and/or project management
- Alignment with Horizon's mission and Statement of Belief
- Demonstrated passion for orphan care and/or Africa
- Proficiency with social media, digital communication tools, and video editing
- Demonstrated desire to grow, learn, and adopt new technologies to improve communications and efficiency
- Dynamic relationship with Jesus; displaying a life of following Jesus, professional maturity, high character, and exhibiting the Fruit of the Spirit
- Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience
