This position will perform necessary repairs and project maintenance on systems, including plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, cutting, and welding, as directed by the supervisor. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must establish and maintain effective and professional interaction with other departments and peers.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma with course work in skilled crafts preferred, or three (3) years of experience using mechanical or other related skills, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
KNOWLEDGE: None required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Must be able to obtain PIT license in order to perform duties.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read and write in English, must be able to communicate effectively with peers and management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: General math skills required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Able to establish and maintain good working relations with co-workers. Excellent attendance is very important.

Regularly exposed to cold/hot and/or humid conditions, climate extremes are found in all plant areas. Frequently works near machinery with moving parts and vibration. Regularly exposed to strong odors and the sight of blood. Regular Exposure to cleaning and sanitation chemicals, hazardous material, waste, and fumes or airborne particles. Risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
