You'll work with a dynamic team, supporting production needs and cross-training in various areas.RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GED requiredAbility to read, write, and comprehend requiredBasic computer usage knowledge desiredVocational training in place of experience will be consideredGeneral knowledge of at least one of the following desired: Mechanical, Hydraulics, Electrical, Manufacturing/Production processes.Specialized Skills & ExperienceDemonstrated knowledge/experience of 12v automotive electrical systemsAbility to make electrical connections with butt splices and crimpers on light gauge wireDemonstrated understanding and ability to read electrical-related blueprints and schematicsPassion for car stereo or off-road lighting installation is a plusBackground in diesel mechanics is highly valuedKey ResponsibilitiesUse and maintain proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)Read and interpret electricalschematics (blueprints) and work ordersUse basic hand tools (e.g., tape measure, crimpers, power tools, wire cutters) and specialty equipmentLearn and operate all equipment within the work area (cell)Install unit vehicle components and accessories (e.g. 12v lights, switches, light gauge wire, wire harnesses, grommets, zip ties)Test installed componentsFollow established safety, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and practicesOther Position SpecificationsKeep a clean work area (5S)Assist co-workers as neededMay participate in RCI eventsMay be required to learn Altec programs and/or systemsShift work may be requiredSafety in everything performedContinuous attention to all job functions for quality productsRequires communication with both outside and inside contacts to carry out company policy and programs; improper handling can affect operational results; must often deal with matters requiring explanation, persuasion, and obtaining approvalsReady to get amped up?
