SUMMARY

This role involves supporting and executing key HR functions with a focus on employee relations, recruitment and talent acquisition, staff development, and organizational engagement.

The Senior Human Resources Manager will serve as a strategic partner to theDirector of Human Resources, driving initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, improve workforce effectiveness, and support operational excellence. This position requires a trusted business partner who builds and maintains collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders, ensuring HR services are aligned with business needs and delivered with a high standard of professionalism and responsiveness.

This role will collaborate closely with the Compliance, Communications, Benefits, and Health Services departments to ensure alignment across all HR functions while not holding direct oversight of those areas.

The individual in this role is expected to lead with professionalism, accountability, and a people centered approach that reflects Triumph Foods' core values.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee direct and indirect reports as assigned within the Human Resources department. Specific supervisory scope will be determined in coordination with the Director of Human Resources based on organizational needs and structure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Relations and Assistance

  • Address employee concerns and issues by collecting all relevant information, researching solutions, determining the best possible outcomes, expediting selected actions, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Assist employees requiring support with company policies and programs.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all benefits and serve as a resource for employees seeking assistance.
  • Understand and communicate employee issues, cultural considerations, and trends that may impact production and workforce stability.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
  • Support and oversee full cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and retention strategies for production and support roles.
  • Identify and implement targeted sourcing and recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team and Recruiting Supervisor to develop branding ideas, promotional materials, advertising content, and strategic marketing initiatives for recruiting efforts.
  • Compile weekly status updates and reports on recruiting efforts and key metrics.
  • Train and coach team members on presenting a strong employment value proposition by understanding Triumph Foods' history, strategic direction, benefit offerings, culture, and future opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Recruiting Team regarding affirmative action, applicant tracking, data integrity, WOTC, and other compliance processes related to talent acquisition.
Business Partnership and Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to internal departments and external stakeholders by providing responsive, solutions oriented HR support that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with leaders at all levels to ensure HR strategies are integrated with operational priorities.
  • Represent the Human Resources function with professionalism and credibility in all interactions with internal teams, community partners, vendors, and external agencies.
  • Partner with the Compliance and Policies team to support adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team on internal messaging, employee engagement campaigns, and organizational announcements.
  • Work closely with the Benefits team to support employee understanding of and access to benefit programs.
  • Coordinate with Health Services to support wellness initiatives and maintain alignment between HR and on site health operations.
Staff Development and Management
  • Select, train, develop, and organize staff to effectively perform and meet department responsibilities and objectives.
  • Establish and evaluate goals and priorities in partnership with the Director of Human Resources.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to HR team members to build leadership capacity and professional growth.
Organizational Development and Employee Engagement
  • Develop and coordinate access to educational and wellness programs on site for employees.
  • Implement initiatives to improve organizational culture, employee engagement, and workplace effectiveness.
Reporting and Metrics
  • Create and track reports measuring the effectiveness of HR functions and organizational performance, including turnover, recruitment effectiveness, cost analysis, and other key indicators.
  • Identify and report problems or deficiencies promptly with recommendations for resolution.
Other Responsibilities
  • Perform special projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources or Vice President of Human Resources.
  • Participate in community involvement efforts as a representative of Triumph Foods.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred. Must have at least eight (8) years of experience, in which five (5) are in a management role. Manufacturing experience is preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

PHR and/or SHRM CP are preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Public speaking and presentation abilities. Must demonstrate the ability to serve as a credible and effective business partner in communications with internal teams and external contacts.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

English required. Bilingual skills, especially Spanish, are strongly preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic understanding of college level math.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to work amongst or with various departments, and with members of the leadership team and senior stakeholders.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to deliver outstanding customer service and demonstrate professionalism while maintaining composure in stressful situations. Must be detail oriented with a strong work ethic focused on providing a positive employee and stakeholder experience. Ability to work an on call schedule during non business hours, including evening and weekend support as needed.
