Job description:Position OverviewThe QC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and continuously improving quality control programs, inspection processes, and testing activities within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures products meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while supporting operational efficiency and safety.Key Responsibilities* Lead and maintain quality control systems, procedures, and inspection standards across all stages of production.* Develop, review, and analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.* Establish inspection methods and acceptance criteria to ensure consistent product quality.* Partner with production and operations leadership to align quality objectives with manufacturing processes and cost goals.* Communicate quality expectations and requirements to management, inspectors, and hourly personnel.* Ensure all NDT equipment, laboratory tools, and testing devices are properly maintained, verified, and calibrated according to schedule.* Perform or oversee chemical and mechanical testing as needed.* Coordinate training programs to ensure the workforce meets quality procedures and standards.* Provide direct training and mentorship to quality inspectors.* Supervise inspection and testing personnel to maintain effective control over materials, facilities, and finished products.* Support investigation and resolution of quality claims, complaints, and nonconformances.* Coordinate and oversee third-party inspection activities, including scheduling and verification of work performed.* Assist customers with technical quality-related inquiries when required.* Conduct internal and external failure analysis and drive corrective actions.* Promote a safe and organized work environment through enforcement of safety policies and housekeeping standards.* Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities* Develop and lead a high-performing quality team with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement.* Review, approve, and manage employee time records and schedules.Required Skills and Qualifications* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.* Solid understanding of quality systems, inspection processes, and manufacturing operations.Education and Experience* Minimum of 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.* UT Level II certification preferred.* Mechanical testing laboratory experience preferred.* Associate degree preferred, equivalent experience considered.* Experience with ERP systems, including SAP, preferred
