JOB OVERVIEW: Assists the Youth Park Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor in the daily maintenance of facility and with scheduling attendants, and other staff as needed.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Assists the Youth Park Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor in the daily maintenance of facility and with scheduling attendants, and other staff as needed.
  • Responsible for all equipment and supplies.
  • Assists in making sure that daily maintenance of facility, bath rooms, concession area and grounds are scheduled and performed.
  • Aids Park Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor in conducting daily inspections of the facility and equipment.
  • Assists Supervisor in the daily operations of front desk (i.e. cash register, etc.).
  • Helps oversee all emergency procedures in the event of an accident.
  • Aids in the evaluations of other staff members.
  • Participates in staff meetings and helps to ensure the staff follows all rules and operating guidelines.
  • Helps verify and approve time sheets for all facility staff.
  • Maintains positive public relations with visitors being courteous and polite.
  • Responsible for turning in appropriate forms and all lost and found items to Supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Requires stable education and work history.
  • Prefer prior experience with St Charles County as a Youth Activity Park Attendant.
  • Relevant experience preferred. An equal combination of experience and training will be considered.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Parks and Recreation Department personnel, trainees, and the general public.
  • Ability to perform duties of moderate physical demand including activities requiring reaching, stooping, grasping, chopping, carrying and lifting 35 lbs, and standing for long periods of time.
